Arthur Rodriguez

Arthur Rodriguez, 79, of Energy, Illinois, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at Deaconess Regional Healthcare in Marion, Illinois.

Born on March 1, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, Arthur was the son of Isaac and Margaret (De. Costa) Rodriguez. A man who found deep joy in life's simple pleasures, he spent his time gardening, playing the guitar, listening to music, fishing, automotive customization, and exploring graphic design. Above all, he cherished his family, and the memories he created with his children and grandchildren will remain a lasting treasure to them. He also maintained enduring ties to the Jehovah's Witness community, always holding a deep appreciation for his faith.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Valerie Rodriguez; his children, Jason (Debbie) Rodriguez of Clinton, Illinois, Joel Rodriguez of Chicago, Illinois, Jaron Rodriguez of Valparaiso, Indiana, and Jada Rodriguez of Chicago, Illinois; his siblings, Catherine Harris, Craig Kincy, Jovita Bieze, Ralph Rodriguez, and Rudy Rodriguez; and his nine grandchildren.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Margaret (De. Costa) Rodriguez; his late wife, Kathy; and his siblings, Angela Sandoval, Angelo Rodriguez, Rachel Kincy, Raymond Rodriguez, and Richard Rodriguez.

While he will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him, his memory will live on through the countless lives he touched. In accordance with his wishes, no memorial services will be held.

The Ministry of Comfort was lovingly entrusted to Southern Cremation and Burial Services of Murphysboro, Illinois.
