Betty “Darlene” Purnell, 81, of Marion, Illinois, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Integrity Healthcare of Marion.

She was born on July 25, 1944, in Marion, Illinois, to the late Gilbert and Edna (Franklin) Purnell.

Darlene will be remembered by her son, Chris (Tina) Francis; her daughter, Sammy Francis; her brother, Gary Purnell; and many other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.

In accordance with Darlene's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and no services will be held.
