Carol "Kay" Lorene (Romack) Henderson, 74, of Marion, IL, passed away on February 26, 2024. She was born on June 1, 1949, in Charleston, IL, to the late Royal (Bud) and Ina Romack.
Kay, as she was fondly known, was a generous and caring individual who touched the lives of many. She enjoyed reading, biking, and walking in her free time. Kay attended high school in Charleston, IL.
Kay is survived by her son, Chad Henderson, and his partner Erin Sweeney, as well as her daughter, Heather Henderson, and her partner Elisha Interpreter. She is also survived by siblings Jan Thompson, Una Smith, Paul Romack, Myrna Strong, Cheryl Steproe and John Romack.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Ina as well as two siblings, Ann Hervey and Tom Romack and her beloved dog Jake.
A private Celebration of Life for family and loved ones will be held in Charleston, Illinois, to honor Kay's memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Francis Care, a no-kill animal shelter in Murphysboro, Illinois, at (618) 687-2079, a cause that was close to her heart.
