Francis G. Pitz

Francis G. Pitz, 74, of Marion, IL passed away at his home Sunday, September 11, 2022 after a long battle with kidney cancer.

He was born in Aurora, IL to Emil and Mary Pitz on March 11, 1948, the youngest of six children.

He leaves behind his wife Marilyn Pitz, whom he married in February, 1999.

Francis worked at Maytag in Herrin, IL for almost 31 years before his retirement. He enjoyed the farm life and raising cattle.

He is survived by his wife and 1 sister, nieces, nephews, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law, 1 brother, 3 sisters, 1 grandson, and 1 great-granddaughter.

As his wishes were to be cremated, there will be no services.
