Irvin C. McCalpine

Irvin Charles McCalpine,  age 65, of Carbondale, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Manor Court Nursing Facility.

He was born on September 20, 1957 in Sawyerville, Alabama to the late John and Alberta (Johnson) McCalpine, both preceded him in death.

He accepted Christ at an early age and was responsible for introducing Christ to his oldest daughter, D’ Andrea McCalpine.

Irvin was always a pillar of reason for anyone who needed his help, whether it was a kind word of advice or helping them solve a problem.

His life was not without controversy, but he did not let that stop him from living his life to the fullest. He made sure his family was well taken care of, always being available day or night for them.

He leaves to cherish his children, D’ Andrea McCalpine and Tamika (Clarence) McCalpine-Golden; seven grandchildren; one great- granddaughter; his siblings, Dorothy (Lee) Amos, Donna (Alvin) Lynch, Gloria Sanders, John McCalpine III, Lisa (Gordon) Wittenmyer, Richard (Paula) McCalpine, Keith McCain, Sharese McCain, Kimberly McCain and Charlese McCalpine, whom was more like a daughter to him than a sister; two aunts and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives who he loved dearly.
