Jenifer R. Evans

Jenifer Rae (Vaughn) Evans, 76, of Cobden, Illinois passed away peacefully on April 2, 2024, surrounded by love near and far. 

She is survived by her sons, David (Jennifer) Evans, Timothy Ryan; daughter, Christine (Edward) Guernsey; grandchildren, Justin Evans, Jason Evans, Jordyn Ryan, Ava Ryan, Jessie Shields, Luke Shields, Noah Evans and Gabriel Evans; siblings, Reese Kelly and Nancy Pitts; nieces, nephews, extended family members and cherished friends.

Preceded in death by her loving husband, Gordon Evans, parents Ray and Annette Vaughn and brother Patrick Vaughn. 

Jeni had a loving spirit and loved her “people” with whom she was connected to. She will be missed, and the memories will continue to nourish those who knew her.
 
A Celebration of Life for her and her late husband, Gordie, will take place at a later date in Melbourne, FL where they spent many amazing years enjoying listening to the ocean and seagull watching. 
 
Memorials are preferred to Hospice of Southern Illinois 204 Halfway Rd. Marion, IL 62959 as both Jenifer and Gordon were provided care and compassion during very difficult times.

Professional Services were Entrusted to Southern Cremation and Burial Services in Murphysboro, Illinois.
