Johnny Delmore was born on June 21, 1951, in Charleston, Missouri, to Ben Delmore and Anna M. Pratt (née Hampton). He departed this life on December 5, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of family, strength, and enduring love.

Johnny spent much of his younger years in the Michigan area, where he was shaped by community, hard work, and deep family bonds. Those formative years helped mold a man known for his resilience, loyalty, and devotion to family.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; his Step-father (Lloyd J. Pratt Sr.), brother, Richard Fisher; his sisters, Susie M. Bell (née Delmore) and Erssie L. Richburg (née Pratt); and his son, Raymond Jamison.

He leaves to cherish his memory his siblings, Rosemary Cooper ,Wanda (Chuck) Jeffers, Lottie Louise (Samuel) Cuthbert, Darcy Pratt, Donna Pratt, Octavia Pratt, Lloyd Pratt Jr., and Bridgette D. Pratt.

Johnny is also survived by his children: Jona (Paul) Patterson, Indianapolis; Tammy (Andre) Murff, Michigan; Johnathan (Precious) Delmore, Indianapolis, and Kanye Oliver, Murphysboro. He was a proud grandfather to 17 grandchildren and great-grandfather to 30 great-grandchildren, all of whom were a constant source of pride and joy.

Johnny was an extremely proud uncle to a host of nieces and nephews, often stepping in and fulfilling practical, fatherly duties with love, guidance, and unwavering support. His presence in their lives left a lasting imprint that will not be forgotten.

Special expressions of love: To his cherished goddaughter, Vanessa Paulz Williams, & Honorary Nephew, Jeremy “Big Worm” Clark. Johnny's love will resonate through a host of relatives and friends who will forever remember his presence, wisdom, and love.

Ministry of Comfort lovingly entrusted to Southern Cremation and Burial Services of Murphysboro, Illinois.
