Joyce Ann (King) Kilman

Joyce Ann Kilman, 79, of Elkville, IL passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on January 16, 1944 in Makanda, IL to the late Silas and Myrtle (Maze) King.

Joyce received her education in the Carbondale Public School System graduating from Carbondale Community High School in 1961. She was united in marriage with Rex T. Kilman on July 28, 1962 in Murphysboro, IL to this union 6 children were born.

She worked for Mrs. Baird’s Bakery in Dallas, TX for many years and later as a Home Healthcare Aide until her retirement.

Joyce attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Murphysboro, IL where she congregated until her health begin to fail.

She is survived by her daughters, Diana Cervantes of Elkville, IL and Yvonne Hernandez of Lufkin, TX; her sons, Troy Kilman of Eucha, OK, Thomas Kilman of Wills Point, TX; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; three brothers; seven sisters and a host of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rex T. Kilman; her daughter, Teresa Nalley; her son Joshua “Cole” Kilman; her parents; one sister, Sarah “Evaline” Johnson and two brother, Gary and Charlie King.
