Keonata’e Benard Traylor, affectionately known as "KT," was born on June 3, 2001, in Carbondale, Illinois, to Kim and Stephanie (Dentmon) Traylor. On Wednesday, November 26, 2024, Keonata’e was called home to Glory at the young age of 23.
A devout believer, Keonata’e accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age, finding his spiritual home at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He carried his faith with him throughout his life, serving as a beacon of kindness and compassion to all who knew him.
Keonata’e excelled in academics, graduating with honors from Independence High School in Frisco, Texas, in 2019. At the time of his passing, he was employed at Home Depot in Plano, Texas, where he was known for his strong work ethic, uplifting demeanor, and ever-present smile.
Known for his fun-loving and outgoing personality, Keonata’e brought joy to everyone he encountered. He loved traveling, spending time with friends and family, and experiencing life to the fullest. Humble and respectful, Keonata’e left a lasting impression on all he met. His radiant smile and positive outlook were a testament to the incredible young man he was.
Keonata’e leaves behind a devoted family to cherish his memory, including his parents, Kim and Stephanie Traylor; siblings Justin Dentmon, Jaleesa Winston, Bruce Barron Jr., Keyon Traylor, Steven Traylor, Deandre Love, Altameis Traylor, and Shacari Woods; God-sister Londy’Skye; and his grandmother Sadie Miller. He is also remembered fondly by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Henry Griffin Sr. and Carla Jean Dentmon, and paternal grandparents, Henry "Shane" Traylor (Mary Traylor) and Willie "Mac" Miller.
Keonata’e will be deeply missed but fondly remembered as a young man of great faith, boundless joy, and immeasurable love. His legacy of kindness, positivity, and devotion will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.

Final arrangements were lovingly entrusted to Southern Cremation and Burial Services of Murphysboro, Illinois.
