Laura Kathleen Young

Laura Kathleen Young, 59, of Harrisburg, IL, passed away surrounded by love from all seven of her children on November 20, 2025.

She was born in Savanna, IL on Dec 12, 1965 to Irene Rand. Laura attended Eldorado High School before she married and had four of her seven children. She then continued her life in Southern IL where she'd go on to become the mother to 3 more daughters.

Laura was preceded in death by her mother Irene Rand, and her late husband David Young. She is survived by her seven children Christopher Castros (Cassie), Tracie Weatherington (Kody), Aaron Castros (Alayna), Stephen Castros (Kacy), Kendrea Gunning, Katlin Reed (John), and Bailey Gunning. As well as an abundance of love from her sixteen grandchildren- Caleb, Nicholas, Jake, Savannah, Xander, Skiler, Xavier, Dontae, Areana, Jordyn, Memphis, Peyton, Cameron, Annabelle, Bryson, and Penelope and two great grandchildren- Colt, and Wrenlee.

A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
