Lloyd H. Estes Jr., born July 16, 1956, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones, on February 6, 2026, in Murphysboro, Illinois.

Lloyd was the son of Lloyd H. Estes Sr., Everett Outlan, and Wanda Outlan. He married the love of his life, Sue Williams, on February 9, 1999.

He was a skilled mechanic for many years and took great pride in working with his hands. Lloyd enjoyed tinkering with motors and engines and could often be found in the garage fixing, rebuilding, or experimenting with various projects—his longest being his 1949 Chevy. His mechanical knowledge and determination were well known to those who knew him best.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Sue; his children, Ryan (Staci) Groves, Jason (Lori) Groves, Emily Lock, and Jasmine Estes; his eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; his siblings, Alice Reese-Seals, Linda Mandrell, Jack Estes, Robin (Paul) Robinson, and Eliza (DeWayne) Hellberg; and his brother-in-law, Bully Fowler, along with other family members and friends who will miss him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd H. Estes Sr., Everett Outlan, and Wanda Outlan; one brother, Joe Estes; and one sister, Ilene Fowler.

Lloyd will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his mechanical talent, and the quiet ways he showed love and care for his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Dutch Ridge Church from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
