With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marion Gale Snow Jr., affectionately known as Gale. Born on September 29, 1966, to Myra and Marion Snow Sr., Gale was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
A 1984 graduate of Brazil High School, Gale discovered a passion for speed early in life—a love that became part of his legacy. On June 24, 2000, he married Angela Orman, and together they built a life filled with love, adventure, and two wonderful children. Gale was known as the "coolest dad on the block," always present and proud.
In 2009, he helped his son achieve a remarkable eighth-place finish in the nation in the light modified class race. In 2016, he cheered from the stands as his daughter’s softball team clinched the Illinois State Championship. His children reflect his strength, determination, and unwavering spirit.
Gale is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Angela; their children, Jace (Alaina) and Lexy (Alyssa); and four grandchildren: Grayson, Ashton, Adelynn, and Samantha. He is also survived by his parents, Marion Sr. and Myra Snow; his siblings, Angela K. Snow and Tim (Donna) Snow; father-in-law, Robert Orman; brother-in-law, Troy (Traci) Orman; and many nieces and nephews who deeply loved him.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Maxine Reisinger and Agnes Snow; mother-in-law, Sharon Orman; and his beloved nephew, Justin Snow.
At Gale’s request, he will be cremated and no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who knew and loved Gale to honor his memory by finding him in all things beautiful—and carrying his spirit forward with love and joy.
Ministry of comfort was lovingly entrusted to Southern Cremation and Burial Services of Murphysboro, Illinois.
