Michael L. Sales

Michael L. Sales, 66, of Makanda, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and kindness.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Lesley. Mike was a hardworking and exemplary employee throughout his career, consistently earning the respect and praise of his colleagues and superiors.

In his personal time, Mike found joy in hands-on projects, often immersing himself in DIY, automotive, and construction work. He also loved camping, fishing, and watching movies. Above all, Mike was a loving husband and a cherished companion to Lesley. He deeply valued his family, friends, and church community, always offering his warmth and support to those around him.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. We find comfort in knowing he now rests peacefully in God’s hands.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 7168 Old U.S. Highway 51, Carbondale, Illinois.

Final Arrangements were Entrusted to Southern Cremation and Burial Services of Murphysboro, Illinois.
