It is with profound grief and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Paula Marie Macias, who went to be with the Lord on October 11, 2026, at Belleville Memorial Hospital. Paula was 59 years old.

Born on December 8, 1966, in Bryan, Texas, Paula lived a full life surrounded by family, love, and cherished memories. Throughout her life, she created lasting bonds with those around her and touched the hearts of many.

Paula is survived by her loving life partner of 35 years, Beth Brandon, who shared a lifetime of love and memories with her. She will forever be cherished by her beloved children, Gina Blanco (Raymond), Brittany Childs, Mariah Childs, and Johnny Childs, as well as her beautiful grandchildren, who brought her so much joy and happiness.

She is also survived by her loving siblings: Dela Castilleja, Mary Gonzalez, Lucy Moncivias, Minnie Sarate, Marcie Montebano (Roland), Laura Schultz (Robert), Richard Macias (Rosie), Linda Gonzales, Alex Ybarra, and Julian Ybarra. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and loved ones near and far who will continue to hold her memory close to their hearts.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Paula Macias and Lillie Ybarra, and her siblings Mike Ramierz, Joe Bernal, Lupe Ybarra, Estella Martinez, Rebecca Ocon, Lucas Ybarra, Johnny Ybarra, Roger Ybarra, Barbara Atkinson, and Janie Ybarra.

Paula's love for her family was at the center of her life. She treasured her partner, children, grandchildren, and all those she held dear. Her warm heart and the special connections she maintained with others will never be forgotten.

She absolutely loved Tejano and R&B music, and her heart always found its way back to her beloved Texas. Paula enjoyed spending time on her phone, calling family and friends to check in, catch up, and stay connected with the people she loved. She also had a special love for her dogs and treasured the many beautiful moments she shared with family and friends throughout her life.

Though Paula may no longer be physically present with us, her love, laughter, and memories will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her. The love she gave so freely and the bonds she built will remain a lasting part of the lives she touched.

Paula will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. May she rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord.

Ministry of comfort was lovingly entrusted to Southern Cremation and Burial Services of Murphysboro, Illinois.
