Rhonda Kay Robertson

Rhonda Kay Robertson, 69, of Gorham, Illinois, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026.

Rhonda was born in Murphysboro, Illinois, to Charles “Lewis” and Melba Glidewell. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who cherished the time she spent with the people she loved most.

Rhonda had a love for gardening, trips to the beach, and, most of all, spending time with her family. She had the gift of gab and a warm, welcoming personality. Rhonda never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. Her kind spirit, lively personality, and love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rhonda is survived by her husband, Charles Robertson; her children, Crystal (David) Launius and Charley (Katie) Robertson; her beloved grandchildren, Devin (Monica), Chance, Copper, Carlee, Cylas, Colin, and Callum; and her beloved great-grandson, Finn. She is also survived by her mother, Melba Glidewell; sisters, Susie (Bill), Janie (Gary), Christie (Scott), and Kathy; brothers, Charlie (Lori), Rick (Pam), Timmy (Leslie), and Gary (Chris); along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles “Lewis” Glidewell; her brothers, Ronnie and John; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Good Bread Cemetery or Residential Hospice in Rhonda’s memory.

The Ministry of Comfort was lovingly entrusted to Southern Cremation and Burial Services of Murphysboro, Illinois.
