Richard L. Phelps

Richard Lowell Phelps, 53, of Ina, Illinois departed this life on June 13, 2023 at his home with loved ones near.

He was born on December 8, 1969 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Larry and Alice (Elliston) Phelps.

Richard is survived by his children Tiffany Reidelberger (Scott) of Benton, Illinois; John Curtis, of Spanaway, Washington; Ashley Litton of Mt Vernon, Illinois; bonus daughter Elizabeth Kugler of Zeigler, Illinois. Grandchildren include Emma and Olivia Reidelberger; Kameron, Karson and Gracelynn Curtis; Logan and Raiden Roberts. Richard is also survived by his brothers Donald (Sheila) Phelps of Opdyke, Illinois, and Anthony Phelps of Ullin, Illinois and sister, Crystal (Stefan) Walter of Michigan.

Richard enjoyed being outside while camping, fishing and gardening. He liked to tell jokes and make people laugh. He was also a big history fan. More than anything, he loved spending time with his grandkids.

Funeral Arrangements were Entrusted to Southern Cremation and Burial Services, LLC.
